CONNOR BEDARD NAMED 2023-2024 CALDER MEMORIAL TROPHY WINNER June 27, 2024 - NHL.com
Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard has been named the 2023-2024 Calder Memorial Trophy winner, presented “to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League (NHL)”.
Bedard missed over 1 month of hockey due to a broken jaw, and he was still the rookie leader in goals (22), assists (39), and total points (61). Out of 194 ballots, Bedard had 152 first place votes and 39 second place votes, for a total of 1,808 points. Bedard was excited to share the moment, “There’s a lot of people who go into it. Obviously, it’s an individual award but it’s cool to celebrate it almost with your teammates and family, just with the help they’ve put toward it. So, it’s a cool moment for sure”.

The NHL has unveiled the 2024 NHL All-Star roster. Each team is sending a representative to the event in Toronto, with 12 more players to be announced via fan voting.
