Markstrom shines in Canucks’ triumph November 28, 2016
Jacob Markstrom steered aside 33 of the 35 shots he faced on Saturday, backstopping the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-2, shootout win against the Colorado Avalanche. The 26-year-old goalie stopped all 4 shots he faced in overtime, including a stellar glove save on a breakaway. He would eventually go on to be named the first star of the contest.
