Hot Night

Green shines on historic night October 18, 2016

Mike Green may not have planned it, but he all but stole the show last night, scoring his first career hat trick in Detroit’s final home opener at Joe Louis Arena. The Red Wings would go on to defeat the Senators 5-1 in the contest, with the 31-year-old defenseman eventually being named first star of the game. Signed by the Red Wings to a three-year deal in 2015, the Calgary-native tallied 35 points in 74 games last season.
