Karlsson shines in Senators’ season opener October 13, 2016
Erik Karlsson was in midseason form last night, as the Ottawa Senators pulled out a 5-4, overtime win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Swedish star was a force on both sides of the ice in the contest. Offensively, he registered a goal, two assists and a game-high eight shots on net, while defensively he blocked three shots and finished the game with a +3 rating. The All-star defenseman also led all skaters in ice-time with 27:36.
