NHL Draft

Robert Hagg comes into draft as the top rated Swedish D-man June 28, 2013

An adept puck-mover with size, Hagg has all the tools to be a solid, two-way defenseman in the NHL. After playing 27 games in the Swedish elite league as a 17-year-old, he also brings some pro experience to the table, a quality few prospective draftees have. Known for his physicality and heavy shot, Hagg is an intriguing prospect that has recently been compared to Dennis Wideman in his style of play. An aggregate of several scouting services ranks the Swedish-born player 22nd overall going into Sunday’s draft.
