Karlsson and Doughty among Norris Trophy finalists June 20, 2016
Erik Karlsson and Drew Doughty have been selected as 2 of the 3 finalists for this year’s Norris Trophy, handed out to the “defensive player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in that position." Karlsson was the offensive standout of the group, leading all defensemen in points (82) and placing 1st overall among all skaters in assists with 66. Doughty placed 9th among D-men in scoring with 51 points but his real strength was on the defensive end of the ice, where he led the Los Angeles Kings to the 3rd best goals allowed mark in the league.
