Backes named 2nd star in Blues win May 16, 2016

David Backes scored the opening goal of the game last night, as the St. Louis Blues went on to defeat the San Jose Sharks 2-1 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final. The Blues’ captain has been one of the best performers of the playoffs thus far, ranking in the top 5 in plethora of categories such as goals (7), points (13) and game winning goals (3). He is currently on a four-game point streak, with 2 goals and 3 assists in that span.
