Stamkos leads the charge in Lightning romp March 14, 2016
The Tampa Lightning shut out the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 4-0 last night, with Steven Stamkos providing the offensive spark in the victory. The two-time Maurice “Rocket” Richard trophy winner scored his 30th and 31st goals of the year, and added an assist for good measure. The Markham, Ontario-native has now surpassed the 30-goal plateau for the 5th time in his 8-year career. Stamkos also reached the 300-goal plateau earlier this year, making him the 9th youngest player in NHL history (26 years, 12 days) to achieve that milestone.
