Marcus Foligno and Johan Larsson both scored, and Robin Lehner stopped 33 shots, as the Buffalo Sabres used a big 3rd period comeback to defeat the Montreal Canadiens, 4-2. Foligno scored the game’s opening goal and led all players in hits with 6. Down 2-1 entering the 3rd period, the Sabres would go on to score 3 unanswered goals, including Larsson’s game-winner at the 11:46 mark. He would go on to finish the game with 4 shots on net along with 5 registered hits. In net, Lehner would eventually claim 3rd star of the game honours after shutting out Montreal in the 3rd period, steering aside all 14 shots he faced.
