Trio of young stars guide Wings to win over Isles January 26, 2016
Petr Mrazek starred in nets while Justin Abdelkader and Danny DeKeyser took care of the scoring, as the Detroit Red Wings defeated the New York Islanders, 4-2. Abdelkader and DeKeyser broke open the game in the second period, scoring two goals in the span of 1:11 to give Detroit a 3-1 lead. DeKeyser would go on to be named the first star of the contest, logging 24:38 of ice-time and registering a game-high +3 rating. Abdelkader finished the game with a team-high 3 shots on net. Mrazek, meanwhile, walked away with his 18th win of the year, a career-high for the Czech-born goalie.
