Juulsen’s meteoric rise lands him in the 1st round July 02, 2015

Noah Juulsen was selected 26^th overall by the Montreal Canadiens on Friday, making him the first defenseman since 2011 to be drafted by the Habs in the 1^st round. The 18-year-old skyrocketed up the draft rankings in 2014-15, after registering 52 points (9 goals, 43 assists) on a defense-first, Everett Silvertips squad.  He was also second on the team in plus/minus (+22), and despite being one of the youngest D-men on the team, the Abbotsford-native shouldered a heavy workload, playing on both the power play and penalty kill.
