NHL Draft
Juulsen’s meteoric rise lands him in the 1st round July 02, 2015
Noah Juulsen was selected 26th overall by the Montreal Canadiens on Friday, making him the first defenseman since 2011 to be drafted by the Habs in the 1st round. The 18-year-old skyrocketed up the draft rankings in 2014-15, after registering 52 points (9 goals, 43 assists) on a defense-first, Everett Silvertips squad. He was also second on the team in plus/minus (+22), and despite being one of the youngest D-men on the team, the Abbotsford-native shouldered a heavy workload, playing on both the power play and penalty kill.
