Konecny honoured for commitment to excellence July 02, 2015

Just a day after being chosen in the first round (24^th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, Travis Konecny received the first ever, E.J. McGuire Award of Excellence. The award will be handed out each year to a draft-eligible prospect who best exemplifies a combination of character, competitiveness and athleticism.  Konecny demonstrated his willingness to lead last season, taking on the role of team captain for the Ottawa 67’s and leading them back to the playoffs in the process.
