Lundqvist holds down the fort in Rangers’ Game 6 win May 27, 2015
Henrik Lundqvist made 36 saves last night, as the New York Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning by a score of 7-3, forcing a 7th and decisive game in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Swedish-born goaltender went on to be named the 2nd star of the contest. He has been clutch in elimination games over the last two NHL playoffs, backstopping the Rangers to a record of 9-1 in that period. Lundqvist has been excellent over his career in Game 7’s as well, compiling a record of 6-1, with a goals-against average of 0.97.
