Hornqvist leads the charge in Pens’ victory March 30, 2015
Patric Hornqvist was named the first star last night, as the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the San Jose Sharks in a shootout, 3-2. The Swedish sharpshooter tallied his 24th goal of the season, his highest total since scoring 27 in 2011-12 with the Nashville Predators. Hornqvist has registered an impressive 46 points in 58 games this year, a career-high as far as points per game is concerned. He has been hot down the stretch as well, scoring five goals and adding three assists in his last eight games.
