Clutch Performance
O’Reilly guides Avalanche to big win March 20, 2015
A month ago the idea of the Colorado Avalanche making the playoffs seemed nothing more than a pipe dream. Fast forward to last night’s 5-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes, and suddenly the last wildcard spot seems like a real possibility. A big reason for the team’s recent surge is Lady Byng Memorial Trophy winner Ryan O’Reilly, who has been a clutch performer for the Avalanche of late. His goal and assist last night added to what has been an impressive run for the Clinton, Ontario-native. In his last 15 games, the two-way center has two goals and 12 assists.
