Stamkos leads the charge in big Lightning win March 17, 2015
Steven Stamkos was named the first star of the game last night, as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Atlantic-leading Montréal Canadiens by a score of 4-2. The perennial all-star center scored his 38th and 39th goal of the season, and added an assist for good measure. He also led all skaters with six shots on net, and was an impressive 67% in the faceoff circle. The two-time Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy winner is on pace for his highest goal output since 2011-12, when he scored a league-leading 60 goals.
