Monahan Named 1st star in Flames’ win February 16, 2015

Sean Monahan scored two goals in a span of less than five minutes, Saturday, as the Calgary Flames defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-2. The 20-year-old center has improved steadily in his second NHL season, becoming more responsible with and without the puck while still playing at a high level, offensively. Through 56 games he leads the Flames in goals with 19 and game-winning goals with 4. His plus/minus rating has also climbed to an impressive +5, while his average ice-time per game of 19:14 leads all forwards on the team.
