Backes helps guide Blues to victory February 13, 2015

Blues’ captain David Backes was named the second star last night, as St. Louis cruised to a 6-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. In a matchup of two of the NHL’s top teams, The Blues scored early and often, building a commanding 5-2 lead after two periods. Backes was front and center in the 2^nd period push, scoring a goal and an assist in less than two minutes, boosting the lead to 4-1. He would go on to finish the game with 4 shots, 4 hits and a plus/minus rating of +3.
