Weiss named 1st star in Wings’ victory January 28, 2015
Stephen Weiss guided the Detroit Red Wings to another win last night, helping them defeat the Florida Panthers by a score of 5-4. The 31-year-old center made the most of his 12:16 of ice time, scoring a goal and adding two assists in the contest. After two injury-plagued seasons left Weiss predominately on the sidelines, the former Panthers standout has come back in a big way this year. Through 25 games, he has six goals and 11 assists, helping the Red Wings to an Atlantic-best, 28-11-9 record.
