Reinhart given an “A” for Team Canada December 22, 2014

Sabres’ top prospect Sam Reinhart was named assistant captain of the Canadian squad for the upcoming World Junior Championships, which begins on December 26th.  The 18-year-old phenom scored yesterday in Team Canada’s tune-up, 5-2 victory over last year’s champions, Sweden.  Reinhart and Co. will be looking to get Canada back into the winner’s circle for the first time since 2009.

Also making the squad was goaltender Zach Fucale, Quebec Remparts (QMJHL), defensemen Madison Bowey, Kelowna Rockets (WHL) and Shea Theodore, Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL), and forwards Robby Fabbri, Guelph Storm (OHL) and Nick Ritchie, Peterborough Petes (OHL).
