Lundqvist solid in Rangers’ win October 17, 2014
Henrik Lundqvist got his team back on track last night, backstopping the New York Rangers to a 2-1, overtime victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. The Swedish stalwart was a rock between the pipes, steering aside 29 of the 30 shots he faced, as well as all three of Carolina’s shootout attempts. He would go on to be named the first star of the contest.
