Konecny stars in Team Canada triumph August 12, 2014
Travis Konecny scored the opening goal in Canada’s 5-1 victory over Sweden today, at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup in the Czech Republic. The 17-year-old, who is also the captain of the Canadian contingent, scored on a power play seven minutes into the second period. In his rookie season in the OHL last year, the London, Ontario-native led his team in scoring with 70 points.
