Oleksiak and Ritchie shine as Texas wins Calder Cup June 18, 2014
Like their counterparts in the NHL, the Texas Stars were the kings of overtime, as they won their third straight game in extra time to clinch the Calder Cup on Tuesday. Dallas top prospects Brett Ritchie and Jamie Oleksiak both played big parts in the win. Ritchie scored again for the Stars, his 3rd in the last three games, and 7th of the playoffs. He also added an assist in the contest, as well a team-leading six shots on net. As for Oleksiak, he finished the game with a rating of +2, and was a stalwart on defense all game long. The 2011, 1st round pick (14th overall) finished the playoffs with the best +/- rating on the Stars, at +13.
