Subban and Emelin combine for 11 hits in series-clinching win May 15, 2014

The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Boston Bruins 3-1 to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals last night, and a big part of the story revolved around the physicality of D-men Alexei Emelin and P.K. Subban, who doled out a total of 11 hits between them. Despite being considered the smaller and less physical of the two teams, the Montreal Canadiens gave as much as they got in the 7-game series, including 32 hits by Emelin.
