Backes dominates in Blues win March 26, 2014

The St. Louis Blues defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-3 last night and David Backes was front and center, scoring a hat trick in the victory.  The Blues captain now has 27 goals on the season, four off of his career-best of 31, a mark he has achieved twice in his career (2008-09 and 2010-11). The gritty, two-way center has already broken a couple of his personal bests this year, one in power play goals (10) and another in game winning goals (5).
