Nabakov shuts the door in Islanders win February 05, 2014
Evgeni Nabakov helped the New York Islanders snap a five game losing streak, Tuesday, shutting out the Washington Capitals 1-0. The Russian netminder stopped all 22 shots he faced and earned the second star of the contest. Despite being hampered by injuries this season, the 12-year NHL veteran has been solid in net, posting a GAA of 2.72 and save percentage of .910.
