Green scores 100th career coal in Caps victory January 29, 2014

Mike Green put on an offensive display last night, as the Washington Capitals defeated the Buffalo Sabres, 5-4. Named the first star of the game, the 28-year-old D-man scored twice, including the winner in overtime, while adding an assist and 5 shots on net.  His first tally of the contest, which came halfway through the 2nd period, was the 100th goal of his career. The defensive dynamo has turned it on in the month of January, putting up 11 points (4 goals, 7 assists) in his last 12 games.
