Kessel powers Leafs to victory January 22, 2014
The Toronto Maple Leafs showed no signs of fatigue in the second game of a back-to-back, beating the Colorado Avalanche convincingly, 5-2. Phil Kessel was once again in top form, scoring his 25th and 26th goals of the season while taking a game-high 8 shots on net. The speedy winger has been on a tear of late, racking up 14 points (6 goals, 8 assists) in his last 7 games. His hot play coincides with the Maple Leafs recent success, a six-game winning streak in which they have scored an impressive 4 goals per game.
