Lundqvist named NHL’s 3rd star of the week January 13, 2014
Following another stellar performance in last night’s contest, which saw him stop 37 of 38 en route to a 4-1 Rangers win, Henrik Lundqvist was named the NHL’s 3rd star of the week, Monday. The Swedish goaltender put up a near perfect record of 3-0-1, with a gaudy save percentage of .943 and a goals-against average of 1.97. It was an excellent week on all fronts for the Rangers star, who was also named to the Swedish men’s national hockey team for the upcoming Olympics in Sochi.
