Islanders win behind Nabakov shutout December 24, 2013

The New York Islanders went into the Christmas break on a high Monday night, cruising to a 3-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings. The away side got out to an early lead and held on from there, thanks in due part to goaltender Evgeni Nabakov, who put in a stellar performance. The 38-year-old netminder was named first star of the contest, stopping all 23 shots he faced en route to a shutout victory.
