RYAN O’REILLY REACHES 1,000 GAMES PLAYED MILESTONE November 01, 2023 - NHL.com
In the 2009 NHL Draft, the Colorado Avalanche selected O’Reilly with the 33rd overall pick, where he would go on to play nearly 430 games. Throughout his career, he has played for the Buffalo Sabres, St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Nashville Predators. He is a Stanley Cup champion, a three-time NHL All-Star, and the winner of: the Lady Byng, the Conn Smythe, and the Frank J. Selke award. According to O’Reilly, there is still more to give, "I still feel I have a lot left to give this game and a lot to do still. It's funny, you're always answering questions about reflecting and what's gone on so far. I still feel like a kid out here, trying to get better, trying to make an impact and win. It really is just the best job ever. I've been so lucky to make it this far and hopefully a lot longer."
