Player Milestone

Josh Bailey reaches 1,000 games played milestone October 28, 2022 - NHL

Josh Bailey played his 1,000th career National Hockey League game last night. The fact that he played every single one with the same team, the New York Islanders, put him in rare air.

Bailey became just the third player in franchise history to reach that milestone, joining Denis Potvin and Bryan Trottier, two players whose numbers hang in the rafters at UBS Arena (he is the 36th player all-time to reach 1,000 games with one franchise).

Besides sitting third in games played for the organization, Bailey also sits fourth all-time in assists (379) and eighth in points (557).

To make the night extra special, Bailey scored the game-winning goal to help lift the Islanders over the Hurricanes in Raleigh.
