Norris Agrees to 8-Year Extensions with Senators July 14, 2022 - NHL
Josh Norris and the Ottawa Senators came to terms on an eight-year, $63.6 million contract extension on Thursday. Originally drafted 19th overall by the Sharks in the 2017 NHL Draft, Norris was traded to the Senators the following season in exchange for Erik Karlsson.
Last season, the 23-year-old forward appeared in 66 of the Senators 82 regular season games. Norris led the team in goals (35) and finished third on the team in points (55), marking the second consecutive season in which he finished top three in Senators’ scoring.
Norris will enter the 2022-23 season having skated in 125 contests for the Senators and for his NHL career over which he has recorded 90 points (52 goals, 38 assists) and 29 penalty minutes. The 2019-20 AHL Rookie of the Year, Norris is only one point shy from moving into a share of 50th place among all-time Senators in scoring.Â
