Pageau shines again in Isles’ victory, Cizikas nets O.T. winner June 01, 2021
Jean-Gabriel Pageau played a starring role in the New York Islanders 4-3 defeat of the Boston Bruins on Monday, in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Second Round series. The 28-year-old centre was electric in the victory, tallying 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist), along with 5 hits and 5 shots on net. The Ottawa-native has been a breakout performer in the 2021 Playoffs, registering 9 points (2 goals, 7 assists) and a +5 rating in 8 games to date.
Casey Cizikas, meanwhile, was named the 1st star of the contest, after providing the game’s overtime winning goal. The 30-year-old centre also won 60% of his faceoffs in the win, along with 5 shots on net and 6 hits.
