Kessel’s hat trick lifts Leafs over Ducks October 23, 2013

After falling behind 2-0 to the red-hot Anaheim Ducks, Phil Kessel took the Toronto Maple Leafs on his shoulders, scoring three of the team’s next four goals en route to a 4-2, comeback victory.  The Leafs are now 7-0 this year when Kessel registers at least one point. The sniper leads the squad with 11 points and is second in goals with 5. Kessel’s hot start is one of the major reasons why the Maple Leafs currently lead the Atlantic division with a record of 7-3-0, good for 14 points.
