Markov and Subban lead Habs to victory October 18, 2013
Montreal’s top defensive pairing came up big, Thursday, in the Habs 5-3 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Subban got things started in the first period when he set up Rene Bourque for a breakaway goal. Both he and Markov were integral on Michaël Bournival’s goal minutes later, and Markov made it 3-0 when he scored a shorthanded marker in the 2nd frame. Subban was named 3rd star of the game while Markov finished with a goal and an assist along with a +2 rating.
