O’Reilly named the Blues’ 23rd captain in team history December 23, 2020
The St. Louis Blues named Ryan O’Reilly as their new captain on Wednesday, making him the 23rd player in team history to wear the “C”. Since joining the Blues in 2018, the 29-year-old forward has taken the team to new heights, playing a key role in the team’s 2018-19 Stanley Cup triumph, where he was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the postseason’s most valuable player.
