Samsonov’s streak continues in Caps’ win January 17, 2020

Ilya Samsonov impressed again last night, guiding the Washington Capitals to a 5-2 defeat of the New Jersey Devils. The 22-year-old netminder turned aside 32 shots in the win, and would eventually go on to be named the 2^nd star of the contest. The native of Magnitogorsk, Russia has been the hottest goaltender in the league of late, registering an incredible 9 wins in a row. For the season, Samsonov has an impressive record of 14-2-1 with a GAA of 2.10 and .926 save percentage.
