Steel impresses in rookie camp as NHL season looms September 12, 2019
After making his NHL debut last season, Sam Steel appears to be on the cusp of becoming a key contributor for the Anaheim Ducks in 2019-20. Drafted 30th overall by the club in 2016, the 21-year-old center has already impressed the Ducks’ brass this fall, notably shining at the Anaheim Rookie Faceoff Tournament earlier this month. The native of Ardrossan, Alberta will be looking to build off of his impressive debut with the Ducks last season that saw him register 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists) in 21 games played.
