Hertl ready to lead the Sharks on and off the ice September 06, 2019

With his team seeing some veteran leaders depart this summer, Tomas Hertl is looking forward to filling the leadership void left behind. The 25-year-old has already begun to lead by example on the ice. He is coming off a season where he led the Sharks’ forwards in points with 74, and set new career-highs in both goals (35) and assists (39). He also was a big reason why San Jose made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals, tallying 15 points (10 goals, 5 assists) in 19 games played.
