Hayton looking to stick with Coyotes in upcoming season July 24, 2019

Barrett Hayton is ready to take a big step in his pro career this year, with his goal of solidifying a permanent spot with the Coyotes when the 2019-20 season begins. Drafted 5^th overall by Arizona in 2018, the 19-year-old center had a breakout campaign with the Soo Greyhounds in 2018-19, tallying 66 points (26 goals, 40 assists) in just 39 games played. The Peterborough-native points to an improvement in leadership skills and a better mindset as reasons why he feels ready to take on the rigors of a full NHL season in 2019-20.
