Coyotes encouraged by Hayton’s progress May 29, 2019

The Arizona Coyotes have been impressed by the development of Barrett Hayton, the team’s 1st round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. The 18-year-old center improved on his 2017-18 season with the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL, despite missing a large chunk of the season due to injury. In just 39 games, he tallied an impressive 26 goals and 40 assists, along with +20 rating. He continued to shine in the OHL Playoffs, registering 16 points (6 goals, 10 assists) in 11 games played.
