Leipsic focused on impressing Canucks’ brass September 20, 2018
With NHL training camps now in full swing, Brendan Lepisic is looking to carve out a bigger role with the Vancouver Canucks this year. After impressing with 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists) in just 14 games with the Canucks late last season, the 24-year-old forward has gotten his 2018-19 campaign off on the right foot, exhibiting the kind of speed, creativity and skill that his new club are looking for in the top-6. The Winnipeg-native was one of the few bright spots in a 4-1 defeat to the Flames last night, tallying his team’s only goal while adding 5 shots on net.
