Florida hoping Tippett can be part of the plan in 2018-19 June 01, 2018
Drafted 10th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Owen Tippett is being earmarked by the Florida Panthers’ brass for an important role on the team next season. The 19-year-old sharpshooter made the Panthers’ squad out of training camp last year, and went on to tally a goal in 7 games played. He later would go on to dominate the OHL, scoring 36 goals in just 51 games, before finishing the season with the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL, where he registered a goal and an assist in 5 games.
