Thomas impresses Blues’ brass at Memorial Cup May 30, 2018

The fact that Robert Thomas was one of the best players at the Memorial Cup was not lost on Blues’ director of player development, Tim Taylor, who had nothing but glowing remarks for the team’s young prospect. Despite being one of the younger players in the tourney, the 18-year-old center displayed exceptional poise and leadership on the ice. According to Hamilton Bulldogs’ coach John Paddock, Thomas has played an incredibly high amount of minutes during the team’s postseason run, due in large part to his indispensability on the ice. He finished the Memorial Cup with 3 points in 4 games played with a tournament-high 24 shots on net.
