Hertl and Kane lead the charge in Sharks’ romp April 17, 2018
The San Jose Sharks took a commanding 3-0 lead in their best-of-seven, first round series last night, steamrolling the Anaheim Ducks by a score of 8-1. Tomas Hertl and Evander Kane both scored in the win, their second and third goals of the playoffs, respectively. Besides scoring in a second consecutive game, Hertl put in a dominating performance in the faceoff circle, winning an impressive 67% (14 for 21) of his draws. Kane, meanwhile, continued to be a thorn in the Ducks’ side, registering 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist), 3 hits and another 4 shots on net (he leads the playoffs in this category with 17).
