Brad Marchand opened the scoring and David Backes tallied the game-winner, as the Boston Bruins cruised to a 5-1, Eastern Conference Game 1 win versus the Toronto Maple Leafs. Marchand would eventually be named the first star of the contest, after adding an assist on a late, 2nd period insurance goal.
