Pietrangelo’s huge game carries Blues to victory March 19, 2018

Alex Pietrangelo put up a monster performance last night, leading the St. Louis Blues to an overtime win versus the Chicago Blackhawks. The perennial Norris Trophy contender had one of his best games of the season, tallying 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists), 4 block, and game highs in shots on net (8) and ice time (28:33). From an offensive standpoint, the 28-year-old rearguard is in the midst of his best season to date. He has already set a new career-high in goals (15), and with 10 regular season games remaining on the schedule, is on pace to shatter his career-best point total of 51.

The Blues' captain was also recognized for his excellent play of late, taking home 1st Star of the Week honours (week ending March 18) on Monday. Pietrangelo led all players in points with an impressive 3 goals and 6 assists in 4 games played.
