Thomas in the midst of whirlwind campaign January 11, 2018
Much has transpired for highly touted NHL prospect Robert Thomas, since being selected 20th overall in the 2017 entry draft by St. Louis. The talented center began the OHL season with London on fire, averaging nearly 2 points per game (46 points in 27 games). His torrid start made him an easy selection for Team Canada at the World Junior Championships, and he would go on to play a starring role in the squad’s gold medal run, registering 6 points in 7 games.
Thomas’ wild adventure did not end there, however. Just days after his gold medal triumph with Canada, the Aurora, Ontario-native was traded to Memorial-cup contender the Hamilton Bulldogs, who currently hold the second-best record in the OHL.
