Girardi lands in Tampa Bay with Lightning July 03, 2017
Dan Girardi is now a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning, after spending the first 11 years of his career in a New York Rangers uniform. Signed on July 1st to a two-year, $6 million deal, the Welland, Ontario-native will look to bolster the young Lightning defence corps, bringing his vast experience (122 playoff games) and grit to the squad. The 33-year-old defenseman tallied 230 points (46 goals, 184 asssists) in 788 games with the New York Rangers.
